Job Description

We are looking for a Vice President, Consulting for our Market Planning business line.

The Vice President, Consulting in the Market Planning function will increase competitive business advantage for clients by delivering tailored and innovative real estate solutions. This role will drive strategic, process improvement, workplace strategies, or portfolio planning activities on project teams for key occupier clients.  This role will provide decision support materials to optimize the real estate portfolio and employee base through and integrated approach. This role is responsible for management of analysts and other support personnel; implements training programs and drives career development.  This role will enhance and expand our existing strategies expertise and capabilities through the development of new tools, techniques, and processes. This role will help target clients and proactively promote services.  This role will also be responsible for enhancing existing programs to meet client business objectives that may include reducing occupancy costs, attracting/retaining employees, improving employee productivity, etc.

The Vice President, Consulting will develop enterprise and line of business real estate strategies, recommendations, and drive implementation for our clients in the following areas:

  • Portfolio Strategy
  • Workplace Strategy
  • Corporate Real Estate Organizational Strategy
  • Six Sigma Process Design and Improvement
  • Corporate Real Estate Functional Assessments
  • Corporate Real Estate Governance, Client Relationship Management, and Performance Management Program
  • Implementation

What this job involves?

Business Development/Execution

  • Develop complex corporate real estate strategies supported by operational, financial, and organizational analyses to provide, communicate and implement creative approaches that will allow our client’s to optimize their real estate solutions and teams.
  • Proactively manage execution of client engagements to ensure excellence, consistency and profitability.  
  • Provide required business case and other documentation necessary to enable clients to implement our recommendations. 
  • Support consulting knowledge management by assisting in the development of project process, tools, and client deliverables that will be included in best practices.

Product Development/Thought Leadership

  • Assist in efforts to leverage insights, collaboration and delivery to ensure that we remain the industry leader in product innovation.
  • Support senior leadership with preparation and as-needed assistance with major Corporate Solutions account pitches or proposals. 

People Management/Problem Solving

  • Recruitment and retention
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

Education and experience

  • 7  years understanding, advising, and implementing effective workplace solutions
  • MBA Preferred
  • 10  years understanding, advising, and implementing effective workplace solutions

Skills and knowledge

  • Project execution experience, leadership, and client management skills
  • Established reputation and strong networking abilities

Other abilities

  • Strong project management capabilities with demonstrated experience in managing budget, team resources, and timetable
  • Proven ability to handle complex issues, delivering on time and within budget
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignment and/or initiatives at once
  • Ability to travel and to work virtually with other colleagues
  • High degree of independence, initiative, responsibility, and accountability
