Currently, we are seeking a Vice President - Projects to join our Southeast Project and Development Services (PDS) Healthcare team. This position will be based in Atlanta, Georgia OR Nashville, TN  This position will report to the PDS Market Lead for a 5-state region in the SE with a matrix relationship to the National Healthcare Practice Lead and will be focused on generating new business in the healthcare sector as well as managing key client relationships and executing work, as required.

  • Participate and integrate with a senior leadership team that is comprised of Senior leaders of other PDS product types (primary)
  • Give leadership to the healthcare practice group for the region by growing revenue, drive recruiting, and manage the team (primary)
  • Engage and team with real estate tenant representation brokers that are pursuing healthcare opportunities (primary)
  • Direct healthcare project management activities in the region (support)
  • Oversee project implementation and execution through completion of construction (support)
  • Manage ground-up and renovation projects including programming, design, entitlements, bidding, permitting and construction management (support)
  • Build and carry out marketing and development initiatives to best deliver results to existing and potential clients (primary)
  • Oversee capital improvement/asset preservation programs with design and construction processes at multiple sites through local resources (support)
  • Develop project budgets including hard costs and soft costs and possess a firm knowledge of construction cost/benefit analysis (support)
  • Provide technical support; project budgeting and scheduling including Owner’s goals & objectives, site improvements, entitlements & permits, consultant selection; design team management, schedule creation and management, contractor selection and management, financial management including cash flows, anticipated cost reports and monthly reports (support)
  • Assemble and manage required teams of consultants and contractors (support)
  • Maintain client relationships and manage conflict resolution (primary)
  • Interface with architects, client staff, property managers and vendors (primary)
  • Provide appropriate level of on-site supervision to ensure project performance criteria are being met (support)Develop relationships with consultants/contractors/vendors and evaluate their performance (primary)
  • Perform development activities including but not limited to assisting with or leading the sourcing, pitching, and securing of new business and projects within local markets (primary)
  • Identify and address areas of concern regarding potential liabilities and risk (fee, our reputation, errors and omissions, etc.) to Management Committee and Region Manager (primary)
  • Assist Region Manager in the establishment and refinement of best practices of standards of excellence (primary)
  • Assist in JLL team member’s annual performance and target bonus reviews (support)
  • Assist in training, monitoring, coaching and developing JLL team members in the skills and understanding of firm procedures, methodology and practices expected for a successful project implementation (primary)Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all PDS technology as required for assigned projects (primary)
  • Ensure accurate management of all accounts receivables to maintain a level not to exceed planned working capital charge as set by corporate finance (primary)
  • Assist Local PDS Team in meeting profit numbers on a Regional and National level as determined on a yearly basis by the Management Executive Committee (primary)
  • Comply with all JLL policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice (primary). 


Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, strongly preferred

Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in managing design and construction of multiple healthcare projects across a broad geography.

Experience leading and running numerous projects simultaneouslyExperience working with landlords, developers, and institutional owners 


Ability to develop and cultivate business relationships with existing and prospective clientsA strong working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, scheduling and process as they relate to healthcare real estate

Ability to lead individuals across a national platform to deliver superior results in client service

Ability to manage several medium and large ground-up development projects and major re-development projects

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional manner and computer literacy

Highly organized with strong analytical skills

Skill and interest in business development

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Project software 


Flexibility with work hours and travel, as needed
