We are looking for a Technology, Data & Information Management Analyst who will be based in Chicago. In this role, you’d be a part of our global Technology Data & Information Management team.  You’ll need to be a self-starter who can work in a fast-paced, diverse environment. 


What this job involves:

A KEEN UNDERSTANDING OF DATA MANGEMENT PROCESSES

You’ll need to create, carry out and monitor data management processes to support ad-hoc projects and deadlines. These projects might be simple, or they’ll have more complicated elements – be prepared to handle both! You’ll also be asked to develop and maintain data integration and reporting processes. 


EXPERIENCE WITH DATA TESTING 

You’ll need to test and monitor the data output to make sure the data is consistent and correct, in order to support ongoing business initiatives. You’ll also want to be able to identify and prioritize any data quality issues and work to correct them efficiently and quickly. 


QUALITY SERVICE

 You’ll work in a team environment and discuss the business requirements behind your data requests with peers and internal leadership. You’ll want to make sure the business requirements are reflected accurately in the data produced.


EXPERIENCE WITH DATA DOCUMENTATION  

You’ll need to be comfortable creating documentation and data flow diagrams to show accurate metadata. You’ll also be an active participant in designing and developing innovative solutions for business initiatives. You’ll need to perform data discovery to understand data values and relationships in new data sources.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  You’ll have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics; a quantitative discipline in science, business, or social science; or an advanced degree. You’ll want to have 1-2 years of experience in the fields of information science, computer science or analytics.


AN ANALYTICAL MIND

You’ll have a knowledge of standard analytical, reporting and programming languages and their application (such as Java, C , Python, SQL, SAS, R, SSRS, SSIS, Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to complete your work.  You’ll have an understanding of data and systems engineering concepts to effectively integrate and you’ll be good at analyzing data to develop actionable business information deliverables. You’ll have an ability to think logically, organize work flows efficiently, and you’ll be able to solve problems independently.


A SELF-STARTER’S OUTLOOK

You’ll be a reliable, self-motivated, and self-disciplined individual that is capable of executing on multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment. You’ll be able to self-learn new software applications and programming languages. You’ll use your written and verbal communication skills including technical writing.
