As a data engineer in this team, you will collaborate with the data solutions architect in the development of a solid data platform to help solve big data warehousing problems on a large scale.  You will help us apply cloud-based AWS services to solve challenging problems around: big data processing, data warehouse design, and BI self-service. Our data engineering team focuses on automation and optimization for all areas of DW/ETL maintenance and comprehensive data integration from many sources.

This position provides an opportunity to work in a broad range of areas related to a global real estate portfolio, including: facility management, building operations, and robotics maintenance for one of the top companies in the world. You will work closely with the business and technical teams in analysis of many non-standard unique business problems and use creative problem solving to deliver viable technical solutions. The role of Data Engineer in JLL requires excellent technical skills in order to develop systems and tools to process data as well as, but not limited to, the ability to analyze data and develop reports.


  • Work with ETL workflows, collaborate on implementing a comprehensive platform for customers to access their data;
  • Provide customers with the infrastructure necessary to make data-driven decisions
  • Promote and enable DW and ETL best practices to and from the account, and link the account to emerging practices in the industry and the BI/data fields.
  • Devise and promote data infrastructure support for data visualization to derive actionable intelligence
  • Develop automated data tools to feed dashboards and provide real-time insights to business data analysts
  • Continuously improve and optimize our integration processes, processing time, data integrity and quality.
  • Designing data integration from multiple systems into manageable data warehouses including complex analytic data models
  • Lead problem solving teams to develop recommendations based on data interpretation and analysis to transform behaviors and techniques
  • Promote success powerfully, such that our client recognizes the value of your work.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for all data related technical processes and analyses


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline

    4+ years of relevant experience in a data science, business analytics, business intelligence or comparable data engineering role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expertise in the design, creation and management of large datasets/data models
  • Ability to write high quality, maintainable, and robust code, often in SQL

    High level knowledge of using SQL to write complex, highly-optimized queries across large volumes of data.

  • Expertise on optimization and performance tuning of ETL workloads, and understanding of DB administration management

    Experience in data mining structured and unstructured data (SQL, ETL, data warehouse, RDS, RedShift, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.) in a business environment with large-scale, complex data sets.

    Ability to dive deep on data analysis or technical issues to come up with effective data collection, integration and data aggregation solutions.

    Experience with data reporting of complex KPIs and metrics via SSRS, Power BI, and data visualization using Tableau, Panorama NECTO, or Excel Power Pivot.

    Hands-on experience and understanding of data warehousing, data modeling and data optimization

  • SharePoint data exchange experience a plus.


  • Demonstrated ability to frame complex analytical problems, pull data, and extract insights that led to tangible results.
  • Experience in gathering requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting.
  • Experience with AWS services
  • Experience with Big Data Technologies such as Azure, Hadoop, Hive, RedShift, etc.
  • Experience working with large data sets in order to extract business insights or build predictive models (data mining, machine learning, and regression analysis)
