Job Description


  • As a skilled tradesman and focusing on building operations reactive and preventive maintenance, small project execution, energy management, client satisfaction, staff supervision, training, subcontractor supervision, and budget control
  • Construction coordination including contractor management and review, review of facility build out plans and pre-occupancy inspections
  • Perform and/or direct the performance of all service requests including communicating with the Senior Facility Management as applicable to establish service request work priorities, insuring that work performed in the facility is accomplished with a minimum of disruption and is followed by adequate clean-up, overseeing the accurate and timely completion of service request forms, reviewing monthly service request summaries to pinpoint and correct reoccurring operational issues
  • Assist the Lead Building Operator in the formulation and implementation of the preventive maintenance program including scheduling of preventive maintenance with minimum disruption of building services
  • Assist in creating purchasing specifications and competitive bid analysis relative to monitoring the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors
  • Specific duties of your team training and supervision includes but is not limited to:
  • Demonstrating the proper use and care of tools and instruments
  • Giving “hands on” instruction in basic maintenance and trouble-shooting procedures
  • Developing work schedules
  • Evaluating job performance on an ongoing basis
  • Administrating and coordinating team training using a comprehensive training program in accordance with the Firm’s technical training and advancement initiative
  • Responsible for site safety, including the issuance, inventory and compliance control of Personal Protective Equipment, consistent with applicable laws and regulations and Jones Lang LaSalle Team Safety Policies
  • Responsible for implementing emergency procedures for the team
  • Ensure that work performed in client space is accomplished with a minimum of disruption and is followed by adequate cleanup
  • Perform maintenance, monitoring to the Electrical, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned
  • Record readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment
  • Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory
  • Additional job duties as requested


  • High School diploma or GED  equivalent
  • 5+ years’ related work experience, including supervisory experience
  • Class “C” or above licence as electrician
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated proficiency with verbal/written communication skills
  • Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service
  • Valid Drivers License (if driving is required as part of the job)
