Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Position overview

Currently, we are seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our team. This position entails working with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders at a client site. This role provides a wide variety of support services to the client office and the successful candidate will be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and a team player attitude.

Essential Functions

  • Manage all mail and couriers, including but not limited to preparing courier packages, coordinating pick-up and delivery, confirming delivery/receipt with appropriate stakeholders, and resolving any related issues in a timely manner
  • Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base
  • Make arrangements for pick-up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions
  • Maintain an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Comply with all the policies and procedures of JLL and client facility
  • Any and all other duties and tasks assigned

Required Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to present information in a clear and concise manner
  • A high degree of accuracy is required for handling sensitive equipment and proper routing of shipments
  • Ability to frequently walk up and down stairs for inspections and emergency procedure practice or implementation
  • Ability to detect emergency alarms - auditory and/or visual
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs. repeatedly

    Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one (1) year working in the Biopharma or Pharmaceutical industry preferred
