Sr Associate, Marketing – Royal Oak, MI (Detroit)


BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE:


The Sr Associate, Marketing contributes to the development and execution of Corporate Solutions’ or Markets overall marketing plan.  This position plays an advisory and strategic role as needed in the planning and execution phases.


What this job involves:


  • Contributes to the development of strategic marketing plans; using knowledge of the client/marketing/event, actively provides input on:
    • Situation analysis
    • Target audience
    • Objectives
    • Strategies
    • Tactics
    • Budget
  • Responsible for execution of the defined marketing plan and strategy; this may include working independently within a defined budget
  • Works to move the plan forward in an autonomous manner and leverages knowledge and experience in daily decision-making
  • Acts as an advisor and consultant as needed throughout the planning and execution phases
  • Responsible for the execution of marketing communication tactics, including:
    • Internal meetings and communications
    • Client conferences and events
    • White papers and other publications
    • Collateral (print and electronic)
    • Tradeshow materials
    • Public web site content
    • Intranet content
    • Client communications
    • Direct mail and advertising 
  • Identifies opportunities to bring innovation to existing marketing practices, including social media activities.
  • Makes detailed recommendations as needed in order to move change forward.
  • Interacts independently with stakeholders on a regular basis, representing the face of marketing to business leaders as well as clients.
  • Writes and edits content for various communication vehicles, including presentations, collateral, internal newsletters, public website, client communication and intranet.
  • Ensures that all marketing materials present the JLL brand consistently and follow corporate graphic standards.
  • Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Journalism, Communication, or Marketing preferred
  • Three to five years of related experience, with an emphasis on marketing. Outstanding project management skills.
  • Very strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong creative skills and knowledge of design and print production.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and InDesign.
