Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst/Appraiser to join our Seniors Housing and Health Care Team within our Valuation & Advisory Services group in Chicago, IL. Our target candidate is a general certified appraiser with experience in the valuation of seniors housing and healthcare assets.

Our Valuation & Advisory Services platform is part of a global network comprised of experienced, licensed, qualified appraisers who use local insights and their years of expertise to deliver accurate, reliable and prompt valuations.  

This position is for an analyst who will specialize in the dynamic seniors housing and healthcare sectors.  Due to aging trends in the United States, the supply of seniors housing is forecast to double over the next 30 years, creating increasing demand for valuation specialists dedicated to this sector.  The same aging trends are creating significant demand for new healthcare properties.  The successful candidate will join our well established and successful practice dedicated to these areas.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing market data and comparable transactions
  • Estimating rent values and highest and best use
  • Performing lease abstracts
  • Conducting market surveys


  • 3+ years of related commercial real estate appraisal experience
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Certified Appraiser license
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, economics, finance, and/or real estate with outstanding academic achievement
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Advanced analytical & writing skills
  • Self-starter, independent
