We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst to support our Global Capital Markets Team. This role will be based in New York City.

The principal role of the Global Capital Markets Group is to develop client relationships and deliver market leading real estate services to global investors seeking to deploy funds offshore from their respective regions, and to build international real estate portfolios. The focus of this team is to develop and manage, sell & buy-side mandates, focusing on assets valued in excess of US $100 million. 

Potential candidates will be expected to have a good understanding of the real estate investment industry in the Americas and an interest in understanding how foreign capital invests equity and places debt both offshore and in the domestic US marketplace.


The ideal candidate will support a senior executive team who will be focused on managing client relationships globally, pursuing new clients, identifying new trends and sources of capital across the regions and tracking new client opportunities and existing mandates. 

Global Investor Database Management

  • Coordinate and manage a suite of client databases, including but not limited to investor databases, deals, on and off market opportunities, track involvement in global and domestic transactions.
  • Assist in the migration of the existing database to a new technology platform; identify new strategies to maximize efficiencies of database management through new software tools.
  • Work with Capital Markets teams in Europe and Asia Pacific to create and update investment profiles for US investors targeting investment outside of the region.
  • Develop process to solicit and coordinate with key team members throughout the Americas to obtain investor feedback for strategic transactions in the market.
  • Constantly maintain an active inventory of “deals in progress” through ongoing client marketing and deal generation activities
  • Contact investors by both email and phone (often cold calling) to determine or update investment criteria.

Global Marketing

  • Participate in the global marketing process of strategic transactions in excess of $100M alongside a global team and lead brokers in the US. 
  • Develop and maintain a sophisticated working knowledge about JLL’s transaction process and key client/investor products and funds
  • The candidate should have a strong research driven approach focusing on significant capital trends as it relates to offshore investment in the Americas
  • Create and deliver monthly and quarterly foreign investor metrics.
  • Work with business leaders and broker teams to position client analytics to contribute to the business development efforts – be willing to actively participate in pitches and pre-pitch assignments with JLL brokers
  • Create, maintain and contribute to proposals, presentations and reports.  Work closely with JLL internal teams such as research, marketing, public relations, and events to deliver first in class proposal and client focused products.
  • Field marketing and communications-related inquiries from professionals, either referring them to the appropriate resource or personally handling requests. 
  • Organize and host investor conference calls, during evenings and early mornings to accommodate overseas business hours (up to 10-14 hours difference), along with contribute to proposals, presentations and reports.
  • Partner with internal teams and senior executives to encourage the spread of best practice and playing a part in raising the success rate in winning pitches.
  • Maintaining and promoting a library of information that can be used to streamline the process of document creation.
  • Collaborate across the entire JLL capital markets platform and organization to bring to bear the full resources of the firm in support of client development efforts.  .


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, economics or related field. Excellent academic credentials
  • Ideal candidate will have 2-4 years commercial real estate experience
  • Strong computer orientation and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word software is required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, foreign languages an added bonus
  • Understanding of real estate fundamentals and client services
  • Self-starter - ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners, entrepreneurial mindset with use of initiative valued.
  • Expert project management skills, with ability to multi-task while still maintaining quality of work and meeting deadlines.
  • Flexibility with respect to work schedule, location and project type
  • Confidence to challenge peers and senior colleagues
  • Ability to manage relationships with ‘demanding clients’
  • A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
  • Ability to travel
  • Demonstrated interest in international business and cross border real estate investing.
  • Ability to stay motivated and extremely focused for extended periods of time to ensure full market coverage for each assignment.
