Summary


The Maintenance Data Systems Specialist in Facilities & Engineering Reliability group is responsible to provide technical solution and perform master data relate tasks for SSFP Facilities Maintenance.



Job Responsibilities


The Maintenance Data Systems Specialist I will work closely with Genentech manufacturing and project engineering groups, as well as business partners in facilities, quality, EHS and multi-functional engineering groups to provide maintenance data support for managing life cycle of SSF Production equipment.


This role serves as a Maintenance Data Subject Matter Expert to manage the maintenance master data for equipment and spare parts in SAP, and is responsible for ensuring such data records are current and accurate.


Additional responsibilities can include the followings:

  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities related to maintenance data or activities.
  • Support maintenance programs for Periodic spare part audits, spare part obsolescence, and spare part criticalities.
  • Participate in IMPACT projects such as commissioning, decommissioning, and system upgrade projects
  • Support Change Record, CAPA, and Discrepancy for master data related activities.
  • Develop and update Facilities procedure to implement maintenance related process and guidelines.
  • Collaborate across the site with individuals in Technology, Operations, Site Services, and Quality
  • Help drive the department goal focused on hitting RMMIR rate of zero, reducing Aging WOs and continued improvement of the quality of Facilities work orders.

The successful candidate will have an engrained quality mindset, demonstrate strong teaming abilities.


Experience with bioprocess manufacturing systems in an operating cGMP facility is desirable.



Job Requirements


  • BS in Engineering/Science or a related field, with two to four years manufacturing systems experience and a thorough knowledge of engineering principles and applications is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide technical leadership in a cross-functional, cGMP regulated environment
  • Ability to maintain close working relationships and collaborate effectively with Maintenance, Manufacturing, Technology, Site Services and Quality groups.
  • Willing to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and be capable of handling multiple tasks while meeting timelines.
  • Good understanding and ability to comply with cGMP requirements (gowning, documentation, and procedures) for performing work within the manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to identify innovative solutions and provide recommendation to solve problems of limited scope and complexity.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
