Job Description


The IT Business Partner (BP) role is a critical part of the Client management team.  The BP manages the overall corporate function specific technology platform that enables efficient service delivery.  Acting as liaison between IT and the JLL corporate function, the BP ensures that IT and business strategies are aligned and that the corporate function client accounts have the technology needed to deliver quality service to the client.

Under general supervision, interacts with clients to reduce the possibility of potential difficulties and to resolve problems. Keeps the client consistently informed of a project's status.  Discusses any significant client issues or selling opportunities with his or her supervisor.  Reviews client requests to ensure feasibility and performs cost/benefit analysis.


Relationship Management

  • Act as primary point of contact for corporate function
  • Develop and manage relationships with key corporate function technology stakeholders and IT Account Managers who service corporate function accounts
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of account service delivery processes and related business functions
  • Partner with corporate function to help navigate IT administration and processes
  • Partner with IT product managers and Technology Account Managers to understand how technology is being used by business users and clients, best practices, and identify opportunities

Strategy and Planning

  • Partner with corporate function to define IT strategy and manage alignment with account development and service delivery strategy
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of JLL technology that supports the corporate function and all real estate and facility related client technology
  • Develop and manage technology roadmap for JLL and client technology for the corporate function
  • Apply information learned from IT product managers and Technology Account Managers to overall corporate function technology strategy to ensure strategic alignment of technology initiatives

Business Analysis

  • Create initial project proposals, project charters, and statements of work for corporate function
  • Document business needs and identify appropriate technology solutions
  • Define and document business and functional requirements and assist in defining technical requirements
  • Assist corporate function in defining data management and knowledge management strategies and processes

Project and Product Management

  • Manage corporate function IT projects
  • Work with IT product managers to ensure account- and client-specific needs are part of long-term product roadmaps and strategies
  • Participate in business-led change management processes
