Schedule Requirements

This position requires a Monday-Friday daytime work schedule.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain physical plant and take initiative to repair and maintain building systems
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units
  • Conduct temperature calls submitted by tenants
  • Execute work order assignments given by the Engineering Office
  • Maintain and repair air handling units, exhaust fans, fume hoods, fan coil units, reheat coils, and other associated mechanical equipment. 
  • Additional duties will include troubleshooting customer service calls for temperature comfort within the building. Maintaining accuracy of system documentation and limited support of new installation projects may be required.
  • Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.


Required Job Knowledge and Skills

•         Familiarity with all Massachusetts HVAC codes

•         Excellent mechanical aptitude in two or more engineering disciplines, excelling in electrical, troubleshooting, and systems work.

•         Ability to read blue prints and electrical schematics.

•         Experience with computer-based building automation systems

•         Schedule will vary; working weekends and evenings will be necessary



•         Refrigeration technician license and universal refrigerant removal certificate

•         5-10 years of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning experience

•         Trade school training preferred
