The practice of utilizing specialized knowledge, tools, and resources to effectively develop, assist and implement an organization’s transition strategy.  


  • Successfully manage large, multi-phase, acute healthcare transition projects
  • Ensure client satisfaction throughout the transition process
  • Ensure all activities are performed in a manner consistent with documented processes
  • Adherence to scope, schedule and budget
  • Ensure data accuracy within transition plans
  • Ensure compliance with all key performance indicators



  • Proper management of all transition & move activities in an acute care setting, including patient relocations, on large accounts and/or projects
  • Ensure JLL and client’s best practices, policies and procedures are being followed
  • Act as the a main point of contact for all transition activities
  • Participates in planning meetings hosted by the client, occupancy planning, construction team and other key stakeholders
  • Management of transition project goals and objectives, to ensure desired project results.
  • Assist with operational planning and manage milestones through collaboration with the facility manager, project manager, construction manager and clinical staff as needed.
  • Manage transition schedule which includes all facility readiness activities, relocations & other critical milestones
  • Incorporation of “best practices” into transition projects
  • Conduct meetings with key stakeholders to achieve consistent communication throughout the duration of the project
  • Develop and deliver required project specific reporting
  • Proactively manage project-related issues and ensure desired project results pertaining to established transition goals and objectives
  • Manage project budget including hard and soft costs for JLL Services
  • Manage scope related to 3rd party vendors
  • Manage supporting suppliers/team members (e.g., IT, Interiors, Equipment, EVS, Signage, Biomed)
  • Qualify and manage vendors to ensure compliance with the performance standards
  • Provides appropriate level of on-site supervision to ensure project performance criteria are being met
  • Develops relationships with consultants/contractors/vendors and evaluate their performance


  • Management of JLL Team Members, both Transition and Move Resources
  • Management of vendors and client team members


  • Facilitate communications between the following stakeholders:
  • Client Vendors and Supporting Suppliers
  • Project Manager Design Team & Contractors Occupancy & Equipment Planners
  • Move Management Team Lead
  • Clinical Staff


  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong Microsoft Projects skills
  • Strong BlueBeam skills
  • Ability to utilize the Microsoft Office suite of technologies


  • Minimum 4 years of facility, project or construction related experience in an acute Healthcare environment
  • Background in project management, construction management, architecture, design or project strategy planning, desirable
  • Successfully managed multi-phase, complex transitions in an acute care setting
  • Successfully managed patient relocations in an acute care setting
  • Knowledge and understanding of hospital operations specifically as it relates to department dependencies
  • Familiarity with reading and understanding architectural plans and ability to read and navigate through a facility using a floor plan
  • Awareness of state, county & facility clinical code and compliance inspections/regulations
  • Awareness of building inspections & codes
  • Proven ability to maintain budgets
  • Strategic thinking & planning skills
  • Strong organizational, communication & multitasking skills
