POSITION OVERVIEW

The Electrician will have a strong focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment.  The successful applicant will demonstrate technical expertise in electrical work, and to assist with a range of non-specialist tasks in order to successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments. This position places a priority on customer service and achieving excellent client satisfaction. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that work performed in client space is accomplished with a minimum of disruption and is followed by adequate cleanup.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a strong team based environment.
  • Maintain very high customer satisfaction standards with all tasks performed.
  • Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to the electrical systems for the facility to keep systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
  • Ensure the availability of an adequate operating inventory of tools and supplies and develop sources for stock materials related to maintaining the facility.
  • Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace.
  • Review monthly client service request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems.
  • Verify the accuracy of deliveries for count, pricing, and description.
  • Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventor.
  • Perform additional job duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 plus years of building operation and maintenance.
  • Electrical Trade License.
  • Ability to work in an environment that demands high customer satisfaction above and beyond all work being completed.
  • Ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical building systems and equipment.
  • Ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions. and take corrective action as required.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
  • Availability to work days, afternoons, and evenings as dictated by the ongoing needs of the business.
