Job Description

Job Summary:

This individual will be accountable for managing the project support services for the client’s Regional ED Managers in their efforts to provide site and facility location services to prospective companies within an assigned geographic region. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Project Management
    • Coordination of clients internal project reviews
    • Monitor and influence progress on track construction projects at industry locations
    • Develop and maintain relationships with clients internally and externally
    • Monitor and influence progress on track construction projects at industry locations
  • Administrative
    • Initiate and coordinate on-site development meetings
    • Conduct research, compile data and perform special projects
    • Understand, utilize monitor and provide reports on clients internal projects process tools
  • Misc.
    • Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Education/training
    • Minimum
      • Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution
    • Preferred
      • Business Administration, Real Estate or Finance
  • Years of Relevant experience
    • 5 plus years in Economic development
    • Direct railroad or real estate experience
  • Skills and knowledge
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels internal & external clients
    • Organizational & detailed-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage differing needs of the business.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
    • Basic knowledge of MS Office.
    • Ability to use New Business Review, APD, CPAR, Controlled Use
  • Other Abilities
    • Understanding of geographic boundaries, zoning concepts, land use planning, engineering challenges, environmental issues, surveys and platting
    • Understanding the use and need of basic contracts specifically indemnification, environmental and insurance provisions
  • Certifications/licenses
    • Valid Real Estate license for state conducting business
  • Physical work Requirements
    • Position may work primarily at client site or project location with potential daily client and contractor interaction.
    • Face to face and/or remote daily interpersonal interaction is usually required in order to perform the job.
    • Ability to travel 25% within assigned geographic region when possible
