Job Description

Responsibilities


• Manage the work of various 3rd party service providers.  Off-shift and weekend supervision may be required.
• Responsible for the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of all work within his/her assigned area. 
• Coordinate and implement plant safety, environmental, and quality practices and procedures. 
• Instruct personnel on all safety precautions in performance of their job.
• Coordinate activities with the Planning / Scheduling group and Operating areas to minimize downtime.
• Provide input during monthly budget review process.
• Responsible for the work efficiency and productivity of the 3rd party service providers. 
• Responsible for completing work within previously established schedules and costs and informs site management of any changes.
• Fully capable of providing meaningful support and input into productivity /capital improvement initiatives.
• Administer existing agreements and company policies.
• Exercise the leadership and expertise necessary to ensure service providers in his/her area are properly trained and adhere to all site policies and procedures. 
• Establish and maintain current knowledge of his/her area facilities to provide a sound basis for improving efficiency and reducing costs and anticipating future needs in his/her assigned area.
• Assist others in the development of preventive maintenance programs, profit improvement programs, development of material standards, and repair methods for repetitive jobs in the area. 
• Initiate and utilize methods to obtain profit improvements.
• Perform administrative duties such as verifying service reports, preparing and issuing hazardous work permits and submitting reports. 
• Perform other duties as directed, such as Safety and Housekeeping Inspections, Insurance Inspection, etc.
• Possess technical competence in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and designs for assigned projects. 
• Recommend equipment and facilities changes or improvements to eliminate or reduce repetitive maintenance problems.
• Assure compliance with all Client's quality programs, GXP’s and guidelines from regulatory agencies.
• Maintain records of all required maintenance activities, asset history, and program documentation utilizing site's Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) system


Qualifications


• Technical / Vocational High School Diploma equivalent required; Associate Degree in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in maintenance / operations of facilities or utilities with applicable skilled trade requirements.
• Experience CMMS systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with planning and scheduling of maintenance activities.
• Excellent interpersonal communications skills are required.
• Able to interact with all levels of the organization and outside agencies and contractors.

• Conduct walking tours and inspections of interior and exterior facility areas, including use of stairways and ladders.
