Are you graduating in May 2019? Are you interested in becoming a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser? If this describes you, you may be interested in joining our Valuation & Advisory Services team as an Appraisal Analyst. We will be selectively considering May 2019 graduates for our commercial real estate training program which requires a 30 month commitment to achieving your appraisal license. We will be hiring students in our Chicago office.

Our Valuation & Advisory Services platform is part of a global network comprised of experienced, licensed, qualified appraisers who use local insights and their years of expertise to deliver accurate, reliable and prompt valuations. We provide sound advice, no matter the size of a property, complexity of a project, or industry focus. Our professionals offer a full range of expertise, including counsel in financing, due diligence, risk analysis, balance sheet reporting, dispute resolutions and IPO listings.​

As an Appraisal Analyst you will successfully complete commercial real estate valuation projects and consulting assignments which may include estimation of cash flow, discounted cash flow models, and analyses of comparable sales and cost analyses.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing market data and comparable transactions
  • Estimating rent values and highest and best use
  • Performing lease abstracts
  • Conducting market surveys


  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, economics, finance, and/or real estate with outstanding academic achievement; please include GPA on resume; May 2019 graduates will be considered for this program
  • Strong desire to work in the Commercial Real Estate Industry as an Appraiser and commitment to achieving licensed status (30 months as a trainee)
  • Ability to start in our “Class of 2019” training program by July 22, 2019
  • Strong preference for students with commercial real estate internship experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Real estate related internship strongly preferred
  • ARGUS exposure preferred but not required
  • Advanced analytical & writing skills
  • Self-starter, independent
