Job Description

In support of a JLL key client account in the Mountain View area, the CAD-CAFM Specialist provides services related to the implementation, maintenance and upkeep of facilities, AutoCAD drawings and related facilities and real estate data either as an in-house project resource or as an outsourced resource working on-site at one or multiple client locations. 

CAD/CAFM responsibilities may include: 

  • Assist Client in the operation of Clients CAD drawings. Such services shall include but will not necessarily be limited to: Providing data entry, CAD work, CAD updates to facility floor plans, CAD standard updates, and/or database entry services, project management to instruct Client and/or subcontracted employees in CAD system operations, schema updates, and system administration support. With regard to CAD and Database support activities, all CAD drawing files shall be backed up on a weekly basis, and appropriately stored.
  • Document and provide detailed design layouts of new and existing office space and furniture.
  • Assist in conducting building audits to verify that employee locations, furniture layout and room configurations are correctly noted on floor plans. 
  • Draw polylines in accordance with the selected space measurement protocols as communicated by client (BOMA, IFMA, etc.). 
  • Create polylines for gross floor areas and internal spaces (rooms). Coordinate with users for CAD/CAFM team to receive updates from planning, work orders and design and construction. 
  • Upload/integrate drawing data into CAD/CAFM system. 
  • Update and maintain p-line drawings, space data and occupancy data based on move information and project information provided by client. 
  • Update, maintain and provide ongoing support to validate and verify the accuracy of CAD/CAFM Space IDs and related data. 
  • Participation in Client and Internal project review meetings. 
  • Provide ad hoc reporting on Space, Moves and Occupancy. 
  • Provide Space Planning support activities as needed, or as requested by Client, to assist in layouts for reconfigurations.
  • Meet with department heads to determine space configurations.
  • Produce block-plan lay-outs in AutoCAD for review with department heads.
  • Layout orientation of workstations and offices in AutoCAD. Provide furniture drawing of current workstation(s) and proposed workstation(s).
  • Measure floor to ensure proper isle spaces and dimensions.
  • If required, visit site to verify existing product that could be used in the reconfigure.
  • Upon completion of the move, confirm that the AutoCAD files are the same as the actual built environment.
  • Integrate new layouts into the Master Drawings.
  • CAD drawings, floor plans, and any documents related thereto or related to Client buildings are deemed Client Confidential Information.
