Job Description

The Occupancy Planning (OP) CAD Analyst role is responsible for delivering CAD Implementation and Project services within the OP Projects line of business. The activities of the business also serve to support on-account OP team’s mission by providing variable or project based CAD services that ensure superior implementation of the OP product. This position is accountable for the ongoing maintenance of CAD drawings as well as the connection of the CAD drawings with the Computer Aided Facility Maintenance (CAFM) platform.

Transition/ New Client Account Activities:

  • Drawing Additions for New Customers
  • Review drawing files within AutoCAD and/or field redline drawings for completeness
  • Create _Arch, _Floor, and _Poly drawings
  • Properly polyline and label room numbers
  • Ensure that all documents are in compliance with JLL standards and layering formats
  • Create attributed polylines for space allocation tracking and/or charge backs
  • Load drawings to FMS or other CAFM
  • Populate FMS with space categories, space types, space standards, room numbers, names and business organization
  • Establish and maintain a library of master drawings accessible to JLL and clients

Maintenance Client Account Activities-Renovation or Reconfiguration Transaction)

  • Modify _Arch, _Furn, and _Poly drawings
  • Properly capture the required polyline changes
  • Label rooms with room number
  • Create new versions of the _Arch, _Furn, and _Poly drawings for delivery to JLL
  • Generate request completed email to requestor (JLL Planner, Project Manager or Facility Manager)
  • Update “Current Master” file

Maintenance Client Account Activities-Data Transaction

  • Capture required adds or changes to attribution in FMS or other CAFM
  • Changes based on field redlines including: Space category, Space type, Space standard, Employee name, Room Name, and Organization code
  • Generate request completed email to requestor

Maintenance Client Account Activities-Drawing Request

  • Performed for transactions that require the provision of a drawing
  • Digital - Check-out drawing from SharePoint to requestor, attach drawing to email and include CAD drawing standards (requests to be made by JLL Planner, PM or FM)
  • Hard copy - Email drawing to designate reproduction firm and include requestor email (requests made by JLL Planner, PM or FM)
  • Generate request completed email to requestor

Maintenance Client Account Activities-Test Fit

  • Perform test fit per red-lined drawings and provided instructions
  • Multiple scenarios can be provided
  • Generate request completed email to requestor
  • After adoption of a specific test fit, FMS/CAFM and the master drawing are updated

Maintenance Client Account Activities- Special projects and/or any other CAD related service

  • Provide a resource to travel to assist with AutoCAD file loads to FMS/CAFM
  • Provide project management support for the implementation of new clients
  • Draft workstation and office templates for use in JLL presentations
  • Provide floor plan polylining services for FMS/CAFM clients
  • Assisting implementation of FMS enhancements
  • Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Associates Degree in CAD Drafting
  • Degree in Engineering or Architecture

Years of relevant experience

  • Associates Degree in related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3 – 5 years or more in related field of Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities or Corporate Real Estate environment including working knowledge of planning business, construction and technology (infrastructure) are necessary.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing facility, architectural methods and codes, and industry standards
  • Experience and skills in AutoCAD or MicroStation.
  • Some experience using Tririga and CAFM tools and understanding of database concepts is desirable.
  • Experience and skills using MS Office tools including Excel and Access working with data.

Skills and knowledge

  • A strong working knowledge of CAD/CAFM Systems.
  • Excellent MS skills inducing: Power Point, Excel, Access, Word.

•  Excellent understanding of CAD/CAFM systems and experienced in using its data to deliver projects.

Other abilities

  • Experienced in managing multiple CAD/CAFM implementations and Projects simultaneously and remotely.
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to communicate ideas in a concise and summarized manner without personal bias.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Program management skills coupled with the ability to profitably execute and deliver.
  • Must have a strong understanding of the Occupancy Planning discipline.
  • Ability to self-govern and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to facilitate conflict resolution - internally and externally.
  • Ability to develop relationships that can lead to long term assignments.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with others.

•  Understanding of and experience in implementing quality assurance and continuous improvement programs.

  • Work is to be performed on site office environment with periodic visits to local JLL offices for meetings and training.  Ability to work and coordinate a remote team is critical. Travel will be approximately 25%.

  • To ensure accurate reporting of information and foster critical relationships between various individuals and organizations, communication channels will exist with:
  • All planning staff, especially Occupancy Planner Managers, OP Regional Oversight Managers, OP Operations Director and report to the OP Projects Manager.
  • Occupancy Planning Director and Management Team.
