Job Description

We’re looking for an expert communicator who will lead the development of innovative written and visual content that helps win new business and supports the sale of iconic properties throughout the Midwest.

The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial real estate or investor relations, and have a successful history of translating facts and figures into materials that convey a compelling story about properties and markets.

That’s where you come in.   As an associate in the JLL Capital Markets Group, you will be part of a highly successful investment sales team.  You are:

An expert communicator:
You know the commercial real estate audience and what they want to know

Knowledgeable about commercial real estate:
You don’t need to be an expert, but you should be able to clearly articulate concepts such as absorption and present value

A great writer:
You know how to write great content for property offering memorandums and presentations to potential clients

Clear and concise:
You can convey a lot of information in a short period of time and know how to make important facts stand out from the rest

Able to differentiate between signal and noise:
You can read a stack of research reports and distill them into a summary that is relevant for the sale of a specific property

Skilled at spotting great design:
You don’t need to be a designer – we have a great in-house team for that - but you need to work with our design team from start-to-finish so that our charts, images, and text tell a cohesive story

You work well with large teams, and can coordinate with in-house and external services such as underwriting, research, and graphic design

You keep projects on track and can quickly adjust priorities when required

If this sounds interesting, we want to hear from you. Given the role, don’t forget to include a well-written cover letter that explains why you are the right candidate for the job
