Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial reports for submission to finance manager.
  • Prepare, record and properly document journal and accrual entries.
  • Perform daily review of A/P and G/L activity in work order system; prepare and record reclass journal entries as necessary
  • Approve AP invoices for non-connected vendors and prepare upload files for utility, etc.
  • Prepare and submit various client funding requests
  • Understand the internal accounting requirements as well as the requirements of the client;
  • Function as a resource to the property teams as required
  • Responsible for bank reconciliations, cash management, check processing, and reporting;
  • Assist with budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Reconcile, consolidate, and evaluate integrity of GL data to help meet financial and operational reporting requirements
  • Financial modeling, analysis and compilation of data
  • Process mapping and efficiency analysis
  • Develop tools and dashboards team with insights to data
  • Special projects and other functions as required by manager

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 1 - 2 years of accounting experience
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to excel in a fast paced and customer service oriented environment
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • High level experience with Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables) & Access. JDE E1 and Corrigo knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and work without direct supervision
