  • We are currently seeking an Analyst to support our Global Capital Markets-Real Estate Investment Banking/Strategic Transaction team in New York. 

    JLL’s Global Capital Markets-Real Estate Investment Banking team offers services in the areas of real estate, advisory, strategic transactions, corporate finance, and capital markets solutions to major institutional real estate companies across North America and works collaboratively with Regional teams to deliver truly global solutions. Members of the Real Estate Investment Banking team will participate in a wide array of transactions/assignments including but not limited to M&A, strategic advisory, private capital raising, credit and asset-backed securitizations, sale/leaseback arrangements, bond financing, corporate and municipal credit advisory services, asset/portfolio disposition, debt placement, and recapitalization

    The associate responsibilities will be mainly aligned with the Strategic Transaction team, which focuses on large, strategically-sensitive transactions through an enhanced client relationship effort demanding our utmost in delivering best in class support and execution services. Members of the Strategic Transaction team participate on asset/portfolio acquisition and disposition, debt placement, and portfolio recapitalization.



    • Perform complex financial analyses, including cash flow projections with complex financing structures, Argus valuation models, and sensitivity analyses
    • Create sophisticated Excel-based analytical tools including macro-enabled financial models
    • Prepare offering materials for new or existing assignments and pursuits utilizing effective work planning capabilities
    • Manage the due diligence and closing process for complex financing transactions
    • Assist with preparation of client deliverables and presentations which influence and provide impact for the client
    • Review and analyze client’s quantitative portfolio data, legal documents, and other materials as part of project due diligence process
    • Interact with clients and institutional investors in the context of transaction execution process and new business development
    • Coordinate property tours with field teams & clients
    • Collect sales &` lease comps from field teams and any other 3rd parties via research
    • Provide guidance, oversight, and assist in training junior team members


    • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, economics or related field required.  Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated interest in commercial real estate analysis
    • Ideal candidate will have 1-3 years commercial real estate experience
    • Argus required
    • Strong computer orientation and proficiency with Argus, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word software is required
    • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information
    • Solid written and oral communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
    • Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively manage time and workload
    • Must be energetic and enthusiastic
    • Must be proactive and creative
    • Sold understanding of real estate fundamentals
    • Understanding of and commitment to client services
    • A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and highly driven professional environment
