What is the opportunity?

JLL Capital Markets is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Analyst to provide reliable, timely, and efficient support to the Capital Markets real estate brokerage team in Montreal. The candidate could potentially learn additional skills to transition into a Sales Associate role, if desired by the candidate and if deemed a suitable career progression. 

What will you do?

  • Provide analytical support for deliverables to the Practice Lead and brokerage team;
  • Conduct market research & writing for presentations and property dispositions;
  • Support Senior Financial Analyst with underwriting and financial analysis investment properties;
  • Conduct lease summaries to facilitate due diligence;
  • Actively engage with JLL Canada research team in providing research support of designated business lines for publications, reports, and other research deliverables;
  • Assist with the identification and execution of project scopes;
  • Assist with team's process improvements and efficiency;
  • Attend client meetings, industry events and build relationships with other real estate professionals when required;
  • Other duties and responsibilities as may be deemed required by the team.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Post-secondary education in Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Urban Economics, Urban Planning, or Urban Geography;
  • Demonstrated strong academic performance;
  • 2+ years of relevant experience or combination of education and experience;
  • Experience in the commercial real estate sector is an asset;
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ARGUS (experience preferred, but not required);
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, in French and English;
  • Financial analysis experience is an asset;
  • Operate with a sense of urgency, able to adapt and prioritize and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Positive and professional attitude demonstrated at all times;
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively;
  • Proactive and takes initiative;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervision
