Director, Consulting - Corporate Solutions (P4)

Role Summary:
To provide, deliver and lead on consulting projects across a range of services and sectors, but all focused on real estate advice in its broadest form.

This will involve analysis, data collection, senior stakeholder engagement, strategy development and report/recommendation writing in order that property can enhance the performance of our clients business. The successful candidate will be expected to provide innovative solutions to a broad range of clients and will ideally have deep expertise in one or two of the following practice areas:

  • Portfolio planning.
  • Business and location advisory.
  • Management consulting.

Our consultants work with clients to develop and execute strategies that transform owned and leased real estate into a source of value, not just a cost. We've helped companies achieve occupancy savings of 10-30 percent through workspace planning and portfolio optimization. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Lead and deliver consulting advice and projects.
  • Undertake analysis of options.
  • Generate business case reports including financial analysis – both qualitative and quantitative assessment.
  • Work with JLL and client contacts to collect data and help make recommendations.
  • Use tools such as PowerPivot / View, Tableau, GIS mapping, Visio, MS Project and in house tools such as Portfolio Command, Scenario planning tool.
  • Excellent team building skills coupled with a balanced technical knowledge and astute commercial acumen.
  • Highly diplomatic with gravitas and an ability to relate well to professionals at all levels internally and externally.
  • Team player and people management expertise either as line manager or managing project resources
  • Able to delegate resources efficiently to get things done, accurately scope out at length and difficulty of tasks and measure performance against goals
  • High energy to set direction and help the team pursue goals with drive and high personal impact.
  • Own and deliver projects to lead on, and generate business opportunities either as a repeat effort or via downstream opportunities.
  • Manage multiple high priority projects across the globe and delivery teams to ensure best practice and full compliance with client’s internal procedures.
  • Leverage the spectrum of services provided by the broader JLL occupier team and business streams.

Key Requirements:

  • Undergraduate (or equivalent) degree with strategy and quantitative aspects (Economics, Business, Geography, Real Estate, Engineering for example)
  • Extensive experience in Corporate Real Estate (ideal) or Corporate Environment in related field such as supply chain, perhaps with a Management Consultancy or niche practice.
  • MRICS, or other specialist qualifications e.g LEEAD qualified.
  • Strong abilities with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT).
  • Excellent written and presentation communication skills, client facing.
  • Financial analysis and modelling expertise
  • Analytical mind - able to assess options.
  • Innovation - think outside the box to come up with bright ideas to help solve client’s problems.
  • Business case development experience.
  • Strong project management skills, able to work to deadlines and under key milestones set by client.
  • Experience leading and driving fully integrated, seamless project delivery.
  • Experience managing the necessary resources to meet project requirements


  • Demonstrates accurate comprehension in new situations with a grasp of essential details quickly.
  • Reliably produces work which requires little or no modification.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to programme manage various projects at the same time.
  • Ability to take a task and run with it - knowing when to ask questions and raise issues at the appropriate time plus involve others.

  • Modifies and adapts responses to meet the needs of a particular client.
