Job Description

Associate Director, Energy Services

We use our leading sustainability expertise to support, challenge and inspire our people and clients to create a prosperous economy, a flourishing society and a healthy environment.

2018 has been another successful year for the team in which we have seen continued growth in our service offer, our revenues and our impact. We continue to invest in our people and benefit from both the culture and autonomy of a small business and the access to world class training, reach and client base of a global company.

Upstream has a strong track record of providing excellent energy management services to the property sector, including but not limited to energy reduction advice, energy audits, EPC advice and refurbishment advisory services.

We are now looking to invest in our energy services by recruiting an associate director to build on our existing programmes and excellent client relationships, to accelerate the growth of our business, the development of our services and the team of existing energy management specialists.

Your core responsibilities will be client and people focussed: building and maintaining relationships (within JLL and with clients), managing delivery of existing energy programmes, driving process improvements to create value for clients and the business, developing our services, management of a team. You will also bring a strong technical capability and track record in energy management.

We need a personable and enthusiastic associate director who will help to lead and oversee the delivery of energy reduction programmes across a range of assets, including office and retail. The programmes already in place include portfolio-wide energy performance reporting through to deep asset-level analysis and project identification. It will be your role to ensure these programmes continue to be delivered successfully and that we grow into other areas that serve our client’s emissions reduction ambitions.

You will drive forward our expanding energy management services by providing advice to some of the largest landlords and corporate occupiers in the UK and Europe and by thinking innovatively about how we can best meet our clients’ current and future needs. You will use your knowledge of how buildings function, as well as an appreciation of operational considerations to assess buildings and establish how energy performance can be enhanced.

You will work with other energy management specialists within the Upstream team and with colleagues across JLL, including Property & Asset Management, Property & Development Services and our Corporate Occupier teams.
